My practice is interdisciplinary and moves between performance, textile, text, sound, photography, and installation. It unfolds in both individual and co-creative processes. I work with feminist theory and participatory formats to investigate how the body can function as a site where collective myths, power dynamics and stories can be destabilized and reshaped. I am particularly engaged in rethinking mythologies that have historically linked women, queers and nature with oppression.

Materials circulate throughout my works. The same bites of texts function as a thematic and structural backbone across my practice. Fragile and transparent textiles and objects migrate between my works, forming an interconnected body of practice – that I use to work aesthetically with layered, intersectional experiences. Inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction, I approach my work not as isolated pieces but as a porous system of relations. I look at my work as a carrier bag of materials that link and mutually affect each other and their context, forming a larger narrative concerned with generational trauma, kinship, and memory.

Participation and relational dynamics are cornerstones in my artistic process. I am interested in how art can create transformative situations where relationships between bodies, materials and environments are renegotiated. I am curious how ritual structures can create temporary communities where affect and emotions can circulate between people. My practice aims to hold both grief, rage and hope – mourning a dissolving society while collectively imagining and actively reshaping new worlds through art.
